The Westerland Chronicles
The “old gods” as they are commonly called were more accurately nature spirits. They still exist in the trees, earth, water, and animals of Westerland. It is from these spirits that druidesses are able to draw their power. These were considered gods by the fey of old. The Holy Church upholds that these spirits are not gods at all but malevolent demons. Priests are taught that “witches” sell their souls to these demons in exchange for power.
